Rental Reforms 2021
New rental laws came into effective on 29th March 2021 impacting every renter (tenant) and rental provider (landlord) in Victoria.
More than 130 reforms have been introduced regarding the rights and responsibilities of both renters and rental providers, from before the rental agreement is signed until after the tenancy ends.
Additional requirements relating to compliance of a rental property will need some action by every rental provider either now or in the near future.
